Four Crises

With commute time reduced to zero, social events cancelled, and the rest of the city closed, it feels like we have more time on our hands, so why can’t we be as productive, or more productive than before? Many people are still struggling with the need to be productive and the guilt of not being productive enough.

I’ve to say though, no one has ever blamed themselves for not being productive when the house is burning down around their ears, and people should recognize that we are in a very serious crisis situation now.

And I agree fully with one of my favorite writers, Neil Gaiman, when he says that “although we have time on our hands, the greatest achievement is for people to emerge from lockdown intact.” Focus on surviving this, protect yourself and your community from the terrible fallouts if you can, and forget about being productive.
